Who they are:
Organic. Ethical and Sustainable. Dreamers. Eco-Friendly. Entrepreneurs. Social Enterprisers.
What they do:
Anna Schwengle, the founder and owner of Finn + Emma, was born and raised in Germany until she moved to New York. She has long worked in kid’s clothes, previously as a designer for many fashion brands and then as a consultant in the industry.
Anna started Finn + Emma because she felt like the baby market and modern moms needed more than your traditional soft and sweet designs. She also thought options for organic baby clothing and toys was really limited and not very inspiring, so she set out to change this and created the land of Finn+Emma.
Here they live in the balance of stylish and sustainable, classic and contemporary, whimsical and sophisticated. Here boring designs and toxic chemicals are a thing of the past while modern colors, fresh prints and heirloom quality construction are abundant.
Sustainability is bountiful too. Only the finest 100% organic cotton, eco friendly dyes, and all natural wood will do. And on top of that, their garments and accessories are produced in fair trade settings that focus on social and economic independence for local people, women especially, working to provide for their families in a safe and fair environment.
Why we love them:
We love their commitment to providing jobs that focus on social and economic independence, especially for women, in countries like Peru and India.
