BOOM! My heart is exploding with so much love for June Isle Clothier and for Elise, the talented designer behind it all, who with the help of her husband Daniel and her buddy, Bonny launched the spring/summer ’17 line of kidswear that was modern, timeless, well-made and ethically sourced.
Now with her new partnership with her mom, Elise has grown the brand in the best possible way. They still produce the same quality garments with traceability, sustainability, and ethical practice, but get this! They are all things ethical AND have giving back built into the brand’s DNA.
At June Isle Clothier they value the art of simplicity and integrity; the concept that less is more, and that buying with intention and integrity is possible, even in the world of children’s wear.
They strive to provide children’s fashions that are ethical and affordable. Their products are locally made in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada, using organic, high quality, natural fibers. They specialize in organic cottons, as well as hemp and linen fabric blends. At June Isle’s core is the intention to ethically source and produce garments that respect both humans and the planet.
They see true value in small-lot production and the creation of a carefully designed and crafted heirloom garment. These pieces can be worn, played in, enjoyed and then passed on to be enjoyed by other little members of the family.
Heirloom garments not only capture the nostalgia of a precious time with your little ones, but their inherent quality gives you the ability to share that joy with others.
They also want to be a brand that gives back. There goes my heart again. 5% of all revenue is donated to International Justice Mission (IJM); an organization that seeks to free those enslaved by human trafficking around the world.
They are proud of what they are creating at June Isle. A brand for families, that seeks to be transparent, sustainable, natural, and environmentally conscious.
They can say with confidence that they know the origins of their textiles, and only choose to work with mills that are Oeko-Tec approved and specialize in organic and sustainable fabrics. They are also proud to support their local community by partnering with skilled seamstresses.
They see how their garments are made, who they are made by, and are a part of every step of the process. They are June Isle, and they can proudly say all of their garments are made ethically with thought and care. A true to heart slow fashion family. Now you can be a part of that family too.
